Delamere Forest Special Needs School (Manchester / Cheshire)

I have been resident music teacher at Delamere Forest (Special Needs) School in Cheshire since September 2006, providing music activity, therapy and teaching for children across the autistic spectrum, age 8-18.

The school moved to Manchester in 2010.

We present usually at least two public performances a year, live music and assistive technology based.

"The outstanding lesson observed was a music lesson for a small group of the oldest pupils who were performing as a band with electric guitars, drums and vocals. Their version of a popular song was very professional as was their own composition, a piece on which they were working collaboratively."
