FluffExtended:

Two acoustic guitars, e-bow, violin, cello, three passionate voices and a set of incredibly moving and inspired songs. If there's one new and refreshing acoustic super-group to check out this year, this is it, with acclaimed songwriters Darren Poyzer and Kevin Farrell teaming up with violinist / cellist Fluff (Incredible String Band / Nick Harper) to present a highly charged, entertaining and enlightening live show.

Coming out of a North West music scene that has produced many a Manchester / Liverpool buzz over the years, Darren Poyzer developed a highly entertaining songwriting and performance craft playing shows alongside up and coming comedians sDarren Poyzeruch as Steve Coogan and Caroline Ahearne, and poets such as Adrian Mitchell and Nick Toczek. Moving into full band concert and tours, he teamed up with Kevin Farrell, a rare and intricate guitarist and songwriter, and together they've shared a vast array of occasions and festivals with the likes of Lloyd Cole, Wishbone Ash, New Model Army, Hayseed Dixie, Eddi Reader and The Men They Couldn't Hang.

Having toured and recorded with The Incredible String Band and Tower Struck Down, and featured in live festival performances with Nick Harper, fiddler and cellist Fluff brings another colourful and vibrant layer to the occasion, and dare we say it a touch of folk tradition that weaves beautifully into the contemporary angst of Poyzer and Farrell.

Amongst the colour and the musical poetry, listen out for a most incredible version of Joy Division's 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' - surprise and enchantment guaranteed!

Reviews

Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival 2007:
"... a real taste of clotted cream folk – complete with fiddle, rainbows and hats. The style has a slight Irish twang, seasoned with humour, and a real political aftertaste ... it was a great moment"

Manchester Is Music:
"Great, fantastic, brilliant, mind blowing and inspiring"
