His wonderfully lyrical version of "Love Will Tell Us Apart" with the great John Ellis on Piano redefined that song and will stay in my memory as one of the great live moments I will ever see." "Then welcome back for the second time to Darren Poyzer and Fluff. An acclaimed songwriter and an inspired performer, Poyzer and Fluff produced a fantastic set. Fluff, only yesterday playing with Bernie Marsden of Whitesnake fame, played some virtuoso fiddle to Poyzers energetic and at times moving guitar work, don't forget the Instigator! Superb" - "What a night! With the room full to overflowing it was another brilliant performance from Darren Poyzer. Darren’s songs just get better and better the more you listen to them. Joined during his first set by a special surprise appearance from Roydan Styles it was clear it was going to be a night to remember. Darren produced an awesome performance of “Love Will Tear Us Apart” to wrap up the first half .. All in all another brilliant night thanks to Darren’s top rate performance." - Paul Derbyshire, Clitheroe Festival See more reviews 'Julie Rainbow' live at The Legendary Manchester Busker 20th Anniversary Concert - Sunday April 20th 2008 Forthcoming Live Shows: See Gigs & Tours Press Kit Posters and Fliers: Now added to the Press Kit are posters (a3 / a4) and fliers (a5) for download.

New website - The Legendary Manchester Busker: In my role as a web designer I often get to design a site I have lots of affection for and personal interest in. None moreso probably then The Legendary Manchester Busker site, launched to commemorate 20 years since the first in a series of small theatre shows, that I occasionally took part in, that helped to launch the careers of many songwriters and comedians. Indeed that whole alternative cabaret scene of the late 1980's, of which we were a very prominent part of, was the catalyst for alternative and new comedy, and at the time at the heart of political and social awareness through entertainment.
Poyzer, Fluff and Farrell: "a real taste of clotted cream folk – complete with fiddle, rainbows and hats. The style has a slight Irish twang, seasoned with humour, and a real political aftertaste ... it was a great moment" - Middlewich Folk & Boat Festival 2007. Click here for Booking Information, Press and Promoters Kit, Music Samples, and stuff! New design: Hope you like the new design! I usually change the design every 2 years, the last one stuck around for the best part of 3, so hola! Here we go, simple and I hope effective. I'm also updating and refreshing the archives. First up will be the Videos, and the majority of these will come courtesy of the 'Global' DVD, which is of course available to purchase. |
