For me, Beautiful Addiction is one of the most moving songs I have had the magic dust around me to compose.

It's one of two songs inspired by love letters ... remember those? We use to send them to each other, hand written from the heart, in the days before e-mail and text. It's also a song with one of the slightly ambiguous opening lines that I like to invent.

Personally I will always note this song for Fluff's fiddle on 'Global' when, due to there being just one previous live rehearsal, she broke into my usual arrangement with a truly moving and outstanding solo, forcing a little eye watering and a quick 'thinking on the feet' manoevure!
