Darren Poyzer Song BookMen And Machines
I'm seriously thinking of faking my death,
just living for the Summers we have left

This song was recorded for the Brilliant Words album, features some very lovely piano courtesy of Andy Goddard. In fact it's one of the very few piano driven recordings I have, due to the fact that my early years were spent strictly on rhythm guitar.

The writing of it was inspired by two good friends, Dave and Annie Marsh, at a time when Dave was retiring from working life, and was probably sparked by a telephone conversation when Dave poured his heart out over the victims of present day catastrophic war. One of the saddest points in my life in music, was playing this song at Dave's funeral in 2006.
