A solo theatre performance of around 90 minutes.

Protest SongsThe songs are mostly original, wide ranging and accessible, the banter is lively and family friendly, with one or two cover versions if required to suit the occasion.

Each song is accompanied by a short story and accompanying film footage / still photos.

I have my own equipment, ie sound system, projector and lights, to suit a small to medium sized venue, and public liability insurance should it be required.

Please note absolute quiet is required for this performance; it is designed for performance in a small theatre or folk club, and is not suitable for a non-ticket public bar.

A3 colour posters, social networking support and press releases are available if required.

Fee: £150 - £200 (dependent on travel from Greater Manchester and accomodation)

This event premiered and recieved outstanding reviews at Buxton Festival Fringe 2015.

"Make no mistake, this is a man who is passionate about peace and social justice; he just also happens to have an excellent sense of humour and an engaging stage presence ... Darren is a fine curator. He also included two of his own songs, the heart-rending ‘Julie Rainbow’ and the ‘Peace to End All Wars’. The latter was a true show-stopping finale ... One unusual aspect was the use of graphics and film inserts to accompany many of the songs. This was very well-done – the images were engaging, appropriate to the songs and synchronized perfectly to the lyrics ... it was a brilliant enhancement ... Darren has the ability to get right inside a song – his diction is perfect ... he has the ability to exude raw emotion whilst staying tuneful ... an excellent hour and a quarter ... it is no surprise that many of the audience were repeat visitors from last year’s gig"
