GLOBAL:
THE NEW LIVE ALBUM
Yep, it's finally re-mixed and it's now on sale at gigs. It's called
GLOBAL and it's the Poyzer and friends live
album recently recorded in front of a full house at The Globe in Glossop.
Guest musicians on this occasion were Andy
Goddard, Kirk McElhinney, and Fluff from Tower
Struck Down. Track listing finds 14 songs, ranging from 'Have A
Nice Day' to 'Beaches Of Ibiza', and including magical recordings of
'Beautiful Addiction', 'Sunday Morning Footballer' and 'Rewarded For
Violence'. Right now, you can sample a piece of the action as for a
limited time I've put 'Julie
Rainbow' on the site as a free mp3 play download

"A
F*CKIN' BRILLIANT SOLO ARTIST"
There's probably no greater compliment than that which comes
from a fellow songwriter. Thanks therefore to Ben
Wolland who posted this on the Wigan
Music Collective Notice Board:
"! know its probably a given but darren poyzer is a fucking
brilliant solo artist! I don't really see anyone say much about him
on here and im not sure why. Last night at the lux darren just totally
showed everyone how it should be done. Top class performer! Great songs!
loved it."
Mad Cyril added:
"Darren Poyser especially is a class act, very professional
& he communicates very well with his audience. I like the fact that
his lyrics mean something, whether he's singing about politics or just
life in general. He's versatile, he can be serious in one tune &
then funny in the next one."

POYZER.COM INTERACTIVE
Lots to do to make this into the something very special it
promises to be. First up, I return to play The Witchwood in Ashton on
Sunday April 6th, 5 years to the day since I wandered out of the place
and landed in a Psychiatric Ward having suffered a nervous breakdown.
This is first and foremost therefore a celebration of recovery, and
secondly an interactive acoustic gig with pc driven graphics accompanying
the songs. Special guests will include Andy
Goddard, and those who saw him at The Globe recently will surely
want to see him again - he was stunning!

ATTILA
WEEKENDER AND THE PEACE MARCH
Recently returned from 3 gigs with Attila
The Stockbroker in Leeds, Sheffield and Glossop. Attila as always
was on stompin' good form, and if you've not seen him lately, make sure
you do! His tribute to Joe Strummer called 'COMMANDANTE JOE' shows that
his writing is as fresh, poignant and exciting as ever. We did however
clash datewise with a massive Stop
The War peace march in London that we wanted to attend, so there
was plenty of protest to be made from our stage for the benefit of those
of us who stayed North

GLENN
TILBROOK IN BOLTON
Superb gig recently at a very small venue called The
Moses Gate in Bolton. Glenn
is a daddy again, his first child with Suzanne is a premature, but thankfully
healthy, baby boy. Fans of Squeeze, and people just looking for a great
night out packed the venue from early doors and gave Andy
Goddard and I a rousing reception. We did play for nearly an hour
though, not bad for a support act! Glenn as usual played for something
like 90 minutes plus and all the hits were there, plus a few singalong
pop classics for the party
