"Darren Poyzer has some tales to tell and his songs are incredibly moving. It's the first time I've come across Darren's songs, but I'm hoping it won't be the last as they really did touch a nerve. It was just him and his guitar, but in one song Darren still managed to transport me from a little pub in Sowerby Bridge on a warm summer's evening with pint-in-hand to the other side of the world, right to the South Atlantic and to the very heart of one tragic incident in the middle of the Falklands War in '82.

Just another song? Nope…He was actually there.

And that's the case with so many of his songs…you can really empathise, sympathise, with the people in the songs ... it was often like being a kid again, sitting at the knees of a storyteller as another tale was deftly told"
