It sounds utterly frivolous, but I knowing that so many young people wanted to be in a top pop band, I deceided to call the 'occasional combo' by that very name: A Top Pop Band. This was the blurb.

DARREN POYZER (singer / songwriter)
Principle Top Popster. One of the most versatile solo acoustic creative artistes in the UK, Darren has been actively involved in playing, recording and promoting original music since 1986, and professionally since 1988.

He has two studio and one live album to his credit, the live album being released in DVD / Video format in 2005.

Darren has played literally hundreds of gigs, including major festivals in the UK and US, and has supported artistes as diverse as Wishbone Ash, Eddi Reader, Glenn Tilbrook, The Tiger Lillies, BAFTA comedy writer Henry Normal, comedian Steve Coogan and poet Adrian Mitchell.

KEVIN FARRELL (singer / songwriter)

One of the very best of the unique and original songwriter producers, Kevin Farrell joined up to gig and ultimately record with dp in 2005.

Kevin is proficient on both bass and on guitar is one of the finest accompanying guitarists on the planet.

As well as performing his own shows and releasing a debut album called 'Alien Face Left Out In The Rain', Kevin is also found out and about acoompanying Ann English.

ANDY GODDARD (singer / songwriter)

Musical partner often found with DP during the early 2000's is singer / songwriter ANDY GODDARD, former frontman with Manchester band THE CANDIDATES. Andy has shared many of DP's finest moments contributing his own songs, vocal talents, acoustic guitar and virtuoso piano playing. See above, as Andy shares the credit for gigs with Glenn Tilbrook, Martin Stephenson, All About Eve, Eddi Reader and many more. His most prominent online presence comes courtesy of a crackin' new song called 'Come Alive'.

FLUFF (violin / backing vocals)
An occasional performer alongside Daz & Andy is violinist / electric fiddle and backing vocalist Fluff. She is usually found on stage with Crewe folk punk band Tower Struck Down, and more recently can be found touring with The Incredible String Band. It was Fluff who played on the dp live album 'GLOBAL'

KIRK McELHINNEY (acoustic guitar)
One of the best acoustic guitarists around for sure, a genius. Has now played on three dp albums and can be found coming out of Rochdale with his own thing, a mix of Bert Jansch / Nick Harper styled soul stirring acoustic compositions guaranteed to impress.

JAMIE PARKES (violin / singer / songwriter)
Another occasional performer alongside Daz & Andy is violin maestro Jaimie, a prominent songwriter in his own right who has one self-penned album to his credit titled 'FAITHFUL'. It was Jamie who played on the dp cd PASSION & CONFLICT.

Last seen, Jamie had undergone a transformation into a frontman for a rock covers band, however rumours of this demise may have proved false as the latest is that he's back writing original acoustic tunes again.

ANN WILLIAMS / ENGLISH (backing vocals / singer / songwriter)
Singer / songwriter in her own right, Ann has been an established professional musician on the NW folk circuit for a number of years. She is also a co-host of Acoustica! events in the area, and Ann sang on the dp cd PASSION & CONFLICT

HOLLY BURTON (backing vocals / singer / songwriter)
A performer with ATPB at many early gigs and star vocalist on the original Over The Moon mp3 recording is HOLLY BURTON. A native of Seattle, USA, Holly can often be found performing around Manchester with guitarist SEAN BECHHOFER
