The one and only time I've had guitar lessons, I popped up the road in Tintwistle to get a few tips about lead playing and technique development from a superb rock guitarist called Sam Lees.

Samuel C Lees as he later became known, has been a busy professional guitarist with his own band, and teacher, and he gains a credit here for a little session playing.

It's in the spirit of things as I like them, that unknown to me at the time, Sam popped in to see producer Rae Leeson whilst my Passion and Conflict album was in the mix. Never one to miss an opportunity, Sam picked up a guitar and added some classy lead playing to the 'Brand new Rock'n'Roll.

One of those smiley and very likeable chaps, Sam is very much a family man, who despite maybe seeking a few of the bright lights that his talent deserves, has with his family and beautiful countryside surroundings, many of the things that wannabes can only dream of.
