Long-time top mate, multi-instrumentalist and outstanding songwriter, Andy used to have his own band 'The Candidates', and they were one of the top local bands at The Witchwood during the 90's. Andy ventured onwards to write and record in solo guise, and ultimately was the first person with whom I duetted in the early 2000's having only previously ever performed solo.

He also played a big part in launching one of the first Acoustica nights, this being the monthly event at The Blazing Rag in Mossley that had a good run over a few years.

Andy contributed piano, guitar and voice to the Passion and Conflict, Global and Brilliant Words albums, most notably for providing one of the finest musical moments with his piano on 'Men And Machines'.

These days sadly we don't see Andy out and about playing live too often - he's not as mad as some of us! - though I'm sure when he puts something new onto cd, we'll be seeing and hearing the chap on his piano, doing the live thing.
