Seen accompanying at quite a few live shows, especially during the early 2000's, fiddler Jamie Parkes. Similar to Kevin Farrell, I met Jamie at an Acoustica open mic night, this time at Night & Day in Manchester, and one night he just turned up with his fiddle having heard me plugging the show on a local radio station. So he literally jumped on stage and did a busk along to a couple of Poyzer tunes, then played some of his own moving acoustic songs, and that was the start of a wonderful friendship.
Jamie played and made a most valuable contribution to the Passion and Conflict album, but then with moving down to the Midlands we lost touch for a little while, and subsequently he didn't make it for the Global recording.
One of the most endearing things with Jamie is his Christianity, which combined with a wonderful sincerity makes him a wonderful conversationalist.
