Stockport Music ProjectStockport Music Project

I am Project Manager for a fantastic youth music project in Stockport.

StoMP is a youth music project open to 12-16 year olds that live or go to school in the Stockport area. Our sessions run on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Young people are invited to come and play instruments, sing, make music and new friends.

Your first visit is free, after this we charge £5 a week subscription fee, and occasionally additional sessions (for example open evenings) are delivered free of charge.

Some instruments are provided, young people are welcome to bring their own, and all abilities are welcome to learn with us and join in.

All of our music leaders are CRB checked and are experienced musicians.

Stockport Local FundOur sessions take place at: St Mary's Community Hall, St Mary's Drive, Stockport SK5 7AX. We respectfully acknowledge support from Stockport Local Fund running until the end of August 2020.

We are always looking for volunteers to help deliver our sessions, so please do help us spread the word, and keep us in your thoughts and plans.

If you want more info please contact Darren Poyzer (Project Manager) via e-mail, Twitter or Facebook. Our dedicated website can be found at: www.musicproject.uk.

I provide 1-1 music activies for children with special needs - in their own home - having delivered music in special needs schools, and worked with advanced music technology in schools and with Drake Music.
