HND in Music and New Media Management

Following my illness in '98 I chose to go forward into education and took what I will always maintain as one of my best ever career moves ... a HND course in Music and New Media Managment at City College Manchester.

It is there that I also got to work on the resident Raw Fish Record label and to subsequently produce the Words and Pictures songwriters album. Check out the cd online at RFR.

My first impressions of the colege were not good and I really could not see myself staying - that was until I met Phil Ellis, music department adrenelin bomb and motivated creative soul.

Phil has as juicy a potted history in Manchester music as anybody and the suggestion that he could sell a Happy Mondays cd to Derek Ryder is not too far fetched.

As well as co-ordinating the New Deal For Musicians in Manchester, the music department at CCM is a highly motivated and encouraging environment for both younger students and those of us who wish to get up to speed with current music industry activities and technologies.
